Big Sioux River Bank Stabilization

Big Sioux River Bank Stabilization

The project included survey and hydraulic & geomorphic analysis of the Big Sioux River from approximately Baltic to Sioux Falls.  Several areas along the Big Sioux River have seen significant erosion over the decades causing significant sedimentation in the river.  Previous stabilization attempts within this stretch of the river continue to see high erosion issues and required further analysis. InfrastructureDG was responsible for overall public involvement and river survey.  To complete the hydraulic analysis accurately, 315 river cross sections will be completed by the InfrastructureDG survey team.
