Tomar Drainage

Drainage

The City of Sioux Falls improved the drainage channel and sanitary sewer in the Tomar neighborhood because of a high rate of inflow and infiltration and the inability to access the sanitary sewer.  The channel outlets into the river floodplain and extends upstream into a heavily wooded deep ravine bordered by residential homes.  The project included sanitary sewer spot repairs and approximately 1,820 feet of 8” sanitary sewer and 565 feet of 12” and 18” storm sewer of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining.  It also included the design of drainage channel structures, culverts extensions and replacement, storm sewer repairs, and public involvement.
